LEAP

"Leap and the net will appear"
-John Burroughs
I've never considered myself to be much of a risk taker but sometimes you just have to follow your gut. This quote from John Burroughs seems to be my personal mantra lately as I mull over some pretty big professional changes. It certainly seems like a long way down when you're about to jump though doesn't it?
P.S I'd love to hear about some your own "leaps" because I'm definitely in need of a shot of courage!

  1. I'd love to hear what changes you are thinking about!

Well, one of my big leaps was leaving DC for NYC... and new career path. I loved the risk, and it definitely paid off. I grew a great deal and loved starting over.

Even though life brought me back to DC, I'm excited for what my next leap will be.

Sometimes you have to take a risk to be great.

  2. Good luck to you on your "leap!" I say the leap is worth it. I took a big leap after college when I moved to FL where I didn't know a soul, took an internship over a full-time job and luckily enough ended that summer with a position created for me. I'm glad I took a chance!

  3. Totally off topic, but I spotted a trio of the Lucite Chivari chairs @ Miss Pixies on 14th last Friday...$125 a pop with a cushion. Perhaps they were your Brimfield find?

  5. Love the Audrey picture! My biggest leaps were moving across the country after undergrad (without friends and my bf) to live with women I hadn't met doing a job I LOVED. The other was starting graduate school. Both totally worth it! :)

  6. If you make the leap, you won't be faced w/ a "what if" later.
