Not So Mellow Yellow

Since we've decided to keep the walls in the new condo primarily neutral, I plan on adding pops of color to keep it interesting. The condo has an open floor plan and I want to make sure that each space is defined. To define the dining area, I'm thinking of painting our chairs a bright yellow.

Here are our dining chairs as they are now. They were a craigslist find that we re-painted.


What do you think? Should I go for it?

    Love your dining room chairs, and I think they would look gorgeous in yellow (and that Jonathan Adler picture, with the chevron rug - WOW!)

    Love all the bright yellow! I'm redecorating our living room and I want to add touches of bright yellow...great inspiration pics! I really love the third one!

    I'd love to know about your dining room table--is it expandable with extra leaves? Where did you find it, I love the mix-match look of the whole ensemble.

    I think painting the chairs a sunny yellow and pairing them with the zebra rug would look very close to the Jonathan Adler photo, which I love!!!! I say go for it!!

    We have the Tolex French Marais chairs at our dining room table - love them! Also loving that bamboo. And yellow chairs - so bright and cheery. I think the yellow is a go, dearie! :)

    it's such a happy color! i have trouble incorporating it into my wardrobe (being a redhead and all) but i think it looks lovely in interiors.

    i also wanted to apologize for not responding to your email. my email access in greece allows me to see emails but not respond to them — so very frustrating! sorry again and lovely post my dear :)
