Sneek Peek: Living Room Additions

The ikat covers from Uzbekistan are finally here after a month and a half of not so patiently waiting. My West Elm beauties also arrived and I can't wait to get some inserts in them--they're so gorgeous in person! I had originally planned for the leopard pillows to go on my caned barrel chairs but I'm kind of loving them mixed with the ikat and chiang mai. Too much? I'll have to live with it for a couple of days and see.

Also, remember my vintage bamboo mirror I was mourning after UPS shattered it? Well, as you can see, it's resurrected! I decided I just couldn't part with it so I painstakingly glued the frame back together, touched it up with some gold paint and had a mirror cut to fit it. Definitely not the $60 bargain it originally was but I love it so it's worth it! Next project is reupholstering my caned barrel chairs. If only I could decide on a color....

  2. What company did you order the ikat covers from. I am dying to order so ikat fabric online but I am a little weary... and it sounds like that might be for good reason.

  5. It was worth restoring. I get upset when I love something and it gets damaged irrelevant of the pricetag!
